OUR STORY
Sister WELLS Counseling, Coaching & Consulting, PLLC is an exceptional collective of experienced wellness and leadership professionals, brought together by their shared vision and sisterhood. Founded by three sorority sisters, Dr. Charla Blumell, Dr. Sherrá Watkins, and Dr. Shawnté Elbert, with the added uniqueness of Shawnté and Sherrá being identical twin sisters, our practice is rooted in a deep passion for leadership development, wellness, and guiding individuals towards authentic transformation.
The genesis of our practice took shape in 2014, during a moment of reflection after speaking at a Minority Leadership conference. Fueled by their shared determination, the trio made the decision to embark on a joint venture, leading to the establishment of Sister WELLS in March 2017.
Sister WELLS is committed to curating healing spaces that nurture growth and empower individuals, groups, organizations, and communities. What sets us apart is our commitment to addressing the WHOLE person in all aspects of the services we offer from counseling, executive coaching, and corporate training. We are passionate about helping others find their voice, ignite their passions, and create a healthier and more fulfilling reality than their current circumstances allow. We are also dedicated to assisting businesses in assessing and developing a culture of authentic wellness within their organization.
Furthermore, Sister WELLS has expanded its scope by developing healing products that complement our clients' journeys towards wholeness. Dr. Sherrá Watkins, one of our esteemed co-founders, has authored transformative publications, including the acclaimed book "Healing – In Review." This invaluable resource provides readers with tools, knowledge, and reflective journaling prompts to facilitate their healing journeys with counseling or coaching. Additionally, Dr. Watkins has created multiple motivational coloring books and a "30-Day Gratitude Journal" further emphasizing her dedication to promoting self-care and personal growth.

Our vision is to eliminate mental health stigma by creating access to culturally sensitive and holistic services, and awareness of, appreciation for, and acceptance of authentic mental health self-care in traditionally marginalized populations. We encourage clients to utilize our services and “dip into the WELL,” drawing out what they need to create healing, happiness, health, and wholeness.
