Dr. Sherrá Watkins (she/her/hers), is a distinguished clinical psychotherapist, certified coach, and expert in the field of mental health and wellness. With over a decade of experience, she has successfully guided numerous clients towards overcoming a wide range of psychological and emotional challenges. Dr. Watkins’ expertise encompasses public health, mental health, rehabilitation and substance use counseling.
Currently serving as the Associate Vice President of Student Health and Wellness at the esteemed University of Utah, Dr. Watkins is dedicated to transforming systems that hinder marginalized populations from accessing crucial counseling and addiction services. Dr. Watkins is a highly sought-after presenter, captivating audiences as a keynote speaker. Her profound insights have also been shared through her acclaimed book, Healing – In Review, which provides invaluable tools, knowledge and journaling for readers to reflect and record their healing journeys with counseling or coaching. Furthermore, she has authored Healing In Color, a motivational coloring book that complements the reflective nature of her guide.
Continuing her commitment to promoting self-care and personal growth, Dr. Watkins has recently released several new publications. Among them are The 30-Day Gratitude Journal: Self-care & Self-love Daily Journal, which encourages readers to embrace gratitude as a transformative practice, and three adult coloring books.
Dr. Watkins resides in Salt Lake City, Utah, alongside her loving husband, Lorinza, and their two cherished boys, William and Bryson. Through her unwavering dedication and impactful contributions to the field of mental health and wellness, she continues to inspire individuals to embark on their own path to healing and personal growth.

Dr. Shawnté Elbert, Ed.D., MCHES, TTS, CWHC
Shawnté is a graduate of East Carolina University with a BS in Health Education and Promotion with a concentration in Worksite Health. She received her MA degree in Wellness from Chatham University and completed her Ed.D. from St. Thomas University in Educational Leadership and Management. Shawnté is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist, a Tobacco Treatment Specialist, and a Certified Wellness and Health Coach.
Shawnté currently resides in Columbus, OH with her husband and two sons. With over two decades of experience in public health, she is a recognized leader in health equity, higher education, and leadership development. Dr. Elbert has a distinguished career marked by impactful roles. She served as the Associate Vice President of Health & Well-being at Ohio State University, where she managed a $40 million budget and 300+ staff to enhance student services. As the Chief Health Equity Officer at Columbus Public Health, she led the Center for Public Health Innovation, implementing strategic initiatives to address health disparities.
Dr. Elbert’s commitment to excellence and making a difference is evident in her work, as she empowers communities through tailored consulting, executive coaching, and professional development programs. Dr. Elbert, a dynamic speaker and thought leader, inspires audiences with her passion for health equity and wellness. Dr. Charla Blumell, Ed.D., MA., CHES, TTS, CWHC
Charla Blumell, is a Connecticut born, North Carolina resident, working in higher education in the Piedmont area. Charla’s role expands student knowledge and experiences in regards to the dimensions of wellness, attentiveness to inclusivity, addressing health equity, resiliency, and prevention efforts.
Charla’s wellness experience includes over a decade of teaching in public health at the collegiate level and in addition to this experience, she has been presenter for several local/regional colleges and universities, as well as the surrounding community, since 2001. Charla brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Sister WELLS working with adults on behavior change, through motivational interviewing and health coaching, individual and group. She is a subject matter expert in the areas of sexual health, healthy relationships, stress management, and self-care.
Charla is a certified health education specialist (CHES®), as well as certified health and wellness coach. In 2015, she completed her doctorate in Adult Education, with a concentration in health from North Carolina State University. Charla is a member of several professional organizations including NASPA, and SOPHE. She has also received personal honors from Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., UNC-Chapel Hill Student Affairs Partnership Award (2017), and ECU Leadership Awards: 40 under 40 (2018).

Angela Clay, MSW, LCSW-A
Mrs. Angela Clay (she/her/hers), grew up in Charlotte, NC and currently lives in Charlotte NC. Angela is a graduate from Johnson C. Smith University with a Bachelor of Social Work in 2018 & Masters of Social Work Advanced Standing in 2020. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate.
Angela began working in the mental health field in 2003 as a Behavioral Specialist Technician for Charlotte Mecklenburg school system. She began providing supportive services and counseling in May 2020 to homeless women and children living in transitional housing. She is an experienced individual, couple, and family therapist.
Angela works with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, behavioral, relationships, self-esteem, coping skills, stress, peer relationships and mental health issues. I offer a safe, friendly, non-judgment environment. Everything is confidential, which allows the client to freely share their thoughts and feelings. My psychotherapy approach while working with you will include Solution Focused, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Illness Management and Recovery, Seeking Safety, Problem-Solving, and Task-Centered.

Jaqueline (Jay) Brown
Jacqueline Y. Brown – affectionately known as Coach Jay – is a long-time resident of Charlotte, NC, but was raised in Manhattan, NY. She is a follower of Christ, a wife, a mother, and a student of life. A graduate of the State University of New York College at Buffalo, Coach Jay holds a Dual Bachelors’ Degrees in Psychology and Sociology (1998, 2001), has completed Masters’ Level Coursework in Sociopsychology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (2003), is a Certified Mediator through the City of Charlotte’s Dispute Settlement Program (2008), a Certified Records Analyst (ICRA 2018), and received her Professional Coaching Certification from the – Internationally recognized and International Coach Federation Certified – Catalyst Coach Academy (2020).
In 2018, she began providing Spirit-Based Life Coaching services to individuals and small groups. Coach Jay believes that God in His infinite wisdom created each and every one of us with the internal tools needed to live a whole and fulfilled life. The journey that is life is designed to challenge us to identify, awaken, solidify, and engage those tools. Coaching Clients should expect Coach Jay’s coaching style to reflect this belief, while respecting the spiritual precepts of each client.
Her wholeness approach operates under the assumption that each of us is more than the sum of our parts (body, soul, and spirit), our experiences, our choices, and our beliefs. We are each whole beings, all of whom have had experiences that have made us feel broken, but they did not break us. There is so much to learn from the “parts” and so much to gain from using them to create balance and wholeness in our lives.
